Awesome Book!

The Heavens Proclaim His Glory by Lisa Stilwell is indeed a spectacular view of creation through the lens of the Hubble Telescope. (quote from front cover) The pictures and explanations are mind boggling for my un-scientific mind. I love the scripture that so describes the beauty of our creation. The whole book makes me realize that it will take eternity to know and learn from our Eternal Father. Oh, the mysteries He has yet to unfold to each one of us!

This is a wonderful book to have on your coffee table. Let your kids and grandkids handle it, look through it, study it, use it!! Enjoy the book as a quiet time tool to just soak in God's Glory.

I received a copy of The Heavens Proclaim His Glory as a member of BookSneeze in exchange for my review whether positive or negative. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.

Let's Do Lunch by Roger Troy Wilson

This is a book about the author who used to weigh 425 pounds and lost 230 of those pounds through his own made up diet. He quotes from his doctors who say his check-ups are good and cholesterol are at great levels. There are success stories interspersed throughout the book along with tips on how to handle cravings and food obsessions.

My take on the book is that I question some of it. But I haven't tried it either so you need to make note of that first. But I have read a lot of books on nutrition and weight loss and this one kind of fell short for me. If you don't think yogurt is good for you, then this book is for you. Or if you don't care for dairy products at all except those that are fat free then you could be their next success story. Oh and bread and potatoes? Forget them too. I also have to question the fact that this author was on food binges constantly and all of a sudden frozen grapes changed his life. How does that happen?

On the other hand, I may just try this out and see if I can handle a lot of fruit because I do LOVE fruit!! And some of the recipes do sound good. I just don't see it as a life style commitment which I believe eating healthy involves.

I was given this book for free from BookSneeze, in exchange for writing a review. I was not required to give it a positive review, nor was I compensated for my opinion.
