Let's Do Lunch by Roger Troy Wilson

This is a book about the author who used to weigh 425 pounds and lost 230 of those pounds through his own made up diet. He quotes from his doctors who say his check-ups are good and cholesterol are at great levels. There are success stories interspersed throughout the book along with tips on how to handle cravings and food obsessions.

My take on the book is that I question some of it. But I haven't tried it either so you need to make note of that first. But I have read a lot of books on nutrition and weight loss and this one kind of fell short for me. If you don't think yogurt is good for you, then this book is for you. Or if you don't care for dairy products at all except those that are fat free then you could be their next success story. Oh and bread and potatoes? Forget them too. I also have to question the fact that this author was on food binges constantly and all of a sudden frozen grapes changed his life. How does that happen?

On the other hand, I may just try this out and see if I can handle a lot of fruit because I do LOVE fruit!! And some of the recipes do sound good. I just don't see it as a life style commitment which I believe eating healthy involves.

I was given this book for free from BookSneeze, in exchange for writing a review. I was not required to give it a positive review, nor was I compensated for my opinion.
