Simple But Saucy

I have to admit that I was afraid Sarah's Garden would be a boring read. Picture on book, Amish girl, a garden.....predictable story. So I was pleasantly surprised at the twists and turns the story took and then to have it sprinkled with some sauciness. Loved that! Yes it was a typical story of Amish gal falls in love with English man. But the story definitely kept my interest and did not disappoint.

That said, I was disappointed in how the story ended. I think the author tried to untie too many knots at the end that didn't need to be untied. And I would have loved to have seen that true love won in the end instead of a "change". I am trying not to give you the ending here. Plus, what was up with the mother and father pushing this other Amish guy at the end??

All in all, it was really a wonderful light read and I would recommend it highly for summer reading. Enjoy the simplistic story. After all, we could all use more simplicity in our busy lives.
