Joni and Ken: An Untold Love Story

I have admired Joni Eareckson from the first time I read her autobiography "Joni", which tells of her accident and how she now lives in a wheelchair. I have listened to her radio broadcast, Joni and Friends, and always watched the Billy Graham Crusades on TV especially when I knew Joni would be speaking and singing. I was surprised to hear when she got married to Ken Tada but also very happy for her. Life got busy and I wasn't able to listen to Joni's program and when I heard she had breast cancer, I was deeply concerned since I had a family member going through the same type of cancer. When I heard about the book, Joni and Ken: An Untold Love Story, I wanted to read it as soon as I could get my hands on it. I definitely wanted to read about their love story, how they met, and how they got married. And just how their married life adjusted to Joni's disability and challenges. This was a different read since it wasn't written by Joni herself. I was glad to see honesty of their life situations being written in authentic "this is how it happened" language. More important of all, I will always admire how they give Jesus the credit for strength in all their struggles, and giving them the love for one another amidst huge physical complications that many of us know nothing about. I received a free copy of this book from Booksneeze in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review or compensated in any other manner. All opinions expressed are my own.
