Good Morning, Lord

The title of this book caught my immediate attention. Coupled with the fact it is written by Sheila Walsh, I knew for certain I would want to check it out. I have not been disappointed.

First of all the cover design of the book is beautiful to the eye and has a nice feel to it. If, in fact, you are a touchy feely type of person. Which I must be! This would be a perfect devotional book to give as a gift to any woman.

Secondly, the inside. The first page is where you can fill in who you are presenting the book to and on what occasion. Then Sheila writes a short Foreword stating the purpose of the book which is briefly a simple encouragement to start your day. Then follow devotions for about 3 months worth if you use the book daily. There are no dates or time tables to follow which I liked. Also Sheila asks 2 questions with each reading and there are lines where you can write down your answers to those questions.

What I love most is that each 'chapter' starts out with: "Today I will".....and then follows the rest of the heading for that day. For example, the first day is "Today I will look for evidence that You are in everything I encounter." It is a perfect simple reading for me to read first thing in the morning but also to remember during the day. I highly recommend this book!

I received this bible free from Thomas Nelson Publishers for an advance reading as part of their Booksneeze bloggers program . I was not required to write a positive review and therefore, the book review is 100% my own opinion.
