The Final Summit

The Final Summit is about a quest to find the one principle that will save humanity. With time running out, it is up to David Ponder and a cast of history's best and brightest minds to uncover this solution before it is too late. The catch? They are allowed only five tries to solve the ominous challenge. Andy Andrews, the author, combines a riveting narrative with astounding history in order to show us the one thing we must do when we don't know what to do.

I really did not get caught up in this story right away. When Gabriel shows up and tells David Ponder he is to head up the Summit of all these great historical people to answer this one question, and their first answer is wrong, I was losing more interest. Then I went to the back of the book and looked at the study questions. Now those I could see leading to some good discussion in a group. So I read on. And on. I was still not greatly impressed by the answers that were given, but did find very interesting to read some historical facts I didn't know about.

But I have to say that I am glad I hung on until the end. Because the final answer has kept me thinking for days. Because it is so true. And doable!! And possible for everyone to do.

Yes I can now say this book is worth your while to read. To discuss in a group study. To share as wise counsel to others. Read it!! You'll be glad you did.

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers for an advance reading as part of their Booksneeze bloggers program . I was not required to write a positive review and therefore, the book review is 100% my own opinion.
