December 1941 by Craig Shirley

This book traces the most important 31 days in the history of America's participation in World War II. It describes the first days of December before the fateful bombing of Pearl Harbor. After the bombing the book describes in detail what happened and how America changed.....food rations, gas rations, victory gardens, women going to work.

This is the most comprehensive and detailed book I have ever read on what happened in America at that time. This is a thick, thick book that details through newspaper clippings, records on file, people's experiences, etc. as to what happened during that month. One cannot imagine all the different areas that were affected and how people reacted.

This is not a long book review because it is hard to summarize a book of this size. I just know that if you love history, you will love this book. If you are in to history but not all the details as it pertained to America, then you might get bored after awhile.

I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers for an advance reading as part of their Booksneeze bloggers program . I was not required to write a positive review and therefore, the book review is 100% my own opinion.
